What this site is

IvyCosy is a technical resource for people setting up home automation systems in Czech Republic, Slovakia, and neighbouring countries. The focus is on practical, local-first setups — not cloud-dependent ecosystems that lock you into vendor subscriptions.

Every device discussed here has been used in a real installation. Test conditions: standard Czech panel apartment (68m², reinforced concrete walls), central boiler heating, Gigabit local network, Home Assistant running on an Intel N100 mini-PC.

Prices referenced are Czech market prices in CZK, from mainstream retailers like Alza, Mironet, and official EU distributors. We note when a product is not widely available in CZ.

Editorial standards

Articles are updated when firmware changes, pricing shifts, or better alternatives appear. Update dates are shown on each article — not the original publish date, which would be misleading for technical content.

We do not accept sponsored content or paid placements. Product links are plain links, not affiliate tracking URLs. If a device has a notable flaw, we mention it — including devices we own and use ourselves.

We reference official documentation and third-party databases (Blakadder, Z-Wave Alliance, CSA Matter specifications) rather than repeating vendor marketing. External links open in a new tab and are marked with rel="noopener".
